Life Is Good

I've now been on the same site for some time which suits me down to the ground.

Only a 10 minute drive to work and being on a 5 acre field with no one but myself it is lovely and quiet.
Sunset from my front door.

Spending too much time at work at present which is taking it's toll, so easing off for a couple of weeks and as I write I am currently resting in Cornwall with some fabulous company!

Life is full of twists and turns, and so a new chapter of my life begins and it's all looking rather rosey!

Till later........

  1. It sounds like things are looking a bit more positive for you Jools, that's good. The site you're on sounds like my type of place, I'd be quite happy to be the only one in the field. If I'm reading between the lines correctly though, I hope you don't mind me making a suggestion - don't jump in too quickly. Other than that, I hope this new chapter in your life works out for you - good luck and take care.

  3. Enjoy your time off; glad you are more settled, we are still in Fareham and have finally started to get drips of work coming thorugh so looking up for us a bit too. We are able to stay on this site until the end of November but have looked around and found some other suitable sites to go to that are fairly convenient. Look forward to hearing more about your endeavours soon.

  9. Hello!

We had also had an epiphany... or maybe its a mid life crisis?! LOL. Why scrimp to keep a rented house over head, save all year and beg for time off work.... to get 2 weeks and a few weekends camping in the New Forest?! So all being well, we give up the house end of Feb and plan to be in caravan by end of May. Much excitement abounds!!!

We are in Gosport so not far from you. Weather has been BAD last few weeks :-s .... hope you have managed to survive it ok. Will be in touch when we move into van i suspect to pick your brains for more info! lol

    Kind regards

    K & M

  11. Well after thinking about it for some time we now are living in a touring caravan full time and have been since October. My lovely brother made it so hard for us to stay at my mums we had to leave, we borrowed the money from MIL and bought a Lunar Caravan with 5 berths and have now converted the end into a bedroom with a fixed bed (clever husband) its been great and our own space which we share with Ace (our Lurcher) and Smartie (grumpy JR) no real problems apart from having to take my dogs everywhere with me and if I want to go in town have to take them to my daughters house. I dont drive but have found a site we can stay on as long as we want by the sound of it (think it may be a bit busy and noisy in the summer though) and there is a bus that stops at the end of the drive;. Life is ok and we will sit it out till we get housed by the council but guess it may take a long time. Any tips on making it a real home welcome but think we are doing ok and as we just can't afford a house and finding somewhere to keep my dogs with me seems impossible. If anyone knows of another site in North Devon that allows long term caravans please give me the info just in case it becomes impossible here in the summer.
